Whether your passion is day charters, instructional sailing, or offshore adventure, the endorsement provides the recognition and credibility you need to take your career to the next level.

Take Command Under Sail with a USCG Endorsement
The Sailing Endorsement Course at The Captain School is a four-hour, USCG-approved classroom program that fulfills the written examination requirement for mariners seeking either a Sailing or Auxiliary Sailing Endorsement. This endorsement is available to holders of a USCG Master License.
To Qualify, The Coast Guard Requires:
- Master Inland License holders – at least 180 days of sailing experience over your lifetime.
- Master Near Coastal License holders – at least 360 days of sailing experience over your lifetime.
Our program is designed to be straightforward and efficient, we provide the training, and we administer the test right here at The Captain School. Once completed, you’ll be equipped to expand your credentials and take the helm of sailing vessels with authority.
